We're Moving and Caleb turned 1. . .

I never thought that I'd be posting so quickly since my last ambiguous entry . . . But here I am, less than a month later, after visiting North Carolina and Pennsylvania declaring in all certainty, that we are moving from Delaware to Pennsylvania! It's been nearly two years since we knew that our lives were going to change drastically by three events: 1). we were going to be having our third child; 2). our jobs were going to change; 3). we were most likely not going to be able to continue our present working relations with the Nazarenes in Singapore.

It was only a few weeks later that things quickly spiraled into a big move back to the states, helping Tim's family during some health situations, financial disasters and a quadrant of "what now"questions! If you're interested in the full-story, check out some of our past posts!  But the short end is that after much grappling, a number of "pay the bill" jobs, and many sleepless nights wondering if we were really called into ministry, we're certain that the Lord most definitely brought us through these days and is leading us to Pennsylvania!

What's really funny is that after more than a year of nearly nothing materializing job wise, Tim was presented with a choice. . .  Isn't that just the way it rolls sometimes? Now in less than 5 days, us little Whetstone's will be headed to the Pittsburgh, PA area to start a new home, begin a new chapter in our lives, and love others in as many ways as possible. Tim will be the pastor of Chartiers Creek Church while also going full-time in freelance lecturing/speaking and back to being a stay-at-home Dad! This is a new church in development (which you can "like" us on Facebook as well) and therefore, Tim's office will be at home as well as out-n-about! While this may require a lot of energy, Tim has no worries about being caffeinated as Danielle is returning to her Starbucks roots! She has been hired as a shift supervisor once again which will not only help Tim stay awake, but provide health insurance and much needed extra income.

Natalie will be headed back to school 5 days/ week (minus Chinese class), which she is extremely excited about and Jeremiah will beginning this year at 3 days/ week. We're just hoping that Caleb (who by the way just celebrated his 1 year birthday last month) sees that time as a PRIMARY opportunity to get some quality rest and allow his daddy to work! :-)

So, be looking forward to some new adventures from the Whetstone Chronicles as this will involve a lot of uncharted territory for us; new pastorate, new place, new community, new school, new challenges, new work, new-ness. . . Finally, thank you once again for your love and support. As we begin this new journey to PA we do have a number of monetary needs. Having sold everything to move to Singapore and being in the predicament we've been in since arriving stateside, there has been very little that we've been able to purchase in order to being a new home. Therefore, we'd like to share with you some our next-journey-needs but nonetheless we'd ask for your partnership in prayer as there still are a lot of unknowns that lie ahead!

Here are four ways you could partner with us and if you can help us aquire any of these items, we would GREATLY appreciate it:
1. Pray for and with us that our needs will be met at a "Whetstone bargain"!
2. Mail us a "gift card". (Email us and we'll send you our new address)
3. Donate through our PayPal account right here on our web site.
4. Send a donation to our new church indicating on the memo: moving donation for Pastor Whetstone
