It's Monkey time and only a month later!

Greetings everyone.

A lot has happened in this past month of which we could spend hours blogging. Yet, as D continually reminds me, "You don't need to write an essay!" So, I'm doing my best to get right to the point... Can't ya tell?! If you are interested in more details, please don't hesitate to write us... We still believe in the old technology of emailing even though we are part of the Facebook world as well!

So, Tim's still working for Focus on the Family Singapore and doing his best to
find his niche while believing that in time, our Father will honor the desires of Tim's heart to teach and speak again.

Danielle is working full time as well - at home! Whoever believes that raising two kids in a foreign country, with no car is, in a phrase, out of their stinking mind!

She's not just caring for the kids and the house, but getting our shipment from the states to Singapore, building relationships with numerous people, setting up home, grocery shopping, researching Singapore schools/child care facilities, getting trained for the new Focus Learning Center, and taking care of her husband. This is of course just to name a few!

If you'd like to know more about the kids, our Night Safari adventure, our East Coast beach outing, and a bit more, come and visit them at their Whetpebbles blog site! And don't miss the new pictures on their site as well as this one too!

Before we close off this post with a "monkey time" video and a little hiking video with a special sound track by Natalie, we'd like to share two quick highlights and a short quote we read the
other day which speaks to our present motivation.

Firstly, Tim has been recruited (at least he likes to think so!) to play with a couple soccer teams. He's loving it and it's become an amazing point to connect with people (young and older) with a universal language! He just started playing after a three week injury hiatus- but he's ready to get out there and score some more goals. Yeah, surprisingly enough he can still do it at 35 years old!

Secondly, we decided to take a hike! Yeah, a literal 6.3 Kilometers (3.9miles)! So, some of you are probably saying; "Oh, no big deal. Good for you!" BUT, have any of you done a hike in the jungle for nearly 4 miles with an additional 11 Kilograms (25lbs) on your back?! Yeah, next time I (Timmy) decide to do something this crazy, someone needs to slap some sense into me, and remind me of the reality of life- or should I say the consequences of such an endeavor?! Yet, despite the fact that I was sore for the next three days, it was a beautiful hike in the jungle and we even had a fellow traveler join us. Our Father is amazing . . . It was simply awesome to be in a jungle in the middle of a city island, and to be able to share life together with a stranger. He does create those moments for us to be present. . . . And it's here that we would like to leave you with a quote which we hope speaks to you all as well;

“The shalom bringers spread a sense of warmth, comfort, hope, and well-being even before a word is spoken. They themselves are the interlinking, not just their words and actions. They do not talk about religion all the time. They are not constantly telling us to cheer up and look on the bright side. They may not say anything special at all, but when we are with them we feel understood, accepted, welcomed..

When we think of these men and women in our lives, we feel as if God is reaching out to us through them. We know that if God is like them—only much more so—then the universe is in safe hands. The glory of God shines through their faces and touches us through their hands.

We call them children of God.” – Flora Slosson Wuellner

Our prayer is that we BE like this. . . Will you join us in this hope?!

Monkey Video Take 1- in our courtyard . . . If only we had an actual video camera? Enjoy nonetheless!

Can you name Nat's hiking song?

Tim and Danielle,

Thanks for the update. The Wards were at our district convention stirring the flame for intentional conversations. I can see you doing that quite naturally.

We pray that you will continue to settle in, experience divine presence and be in awe as God goes beyond your expectations!

Hey Lovelies!

So amazing to get your updates and wonderful to hear that you are settling in. The monkey's in your garden were unbelievable and the hike looked strenuous Tim but simulteously humbling to see the Father's work at first hand!! I would love to have been there with you guys. Was Nat's song Twinkle Twinkle?!?

With all God's blessings and prayers

Lorna xx
