5 Weeks & A Labor Day Later . . .

It's Labor Day and well... Danielle is sure glad that her (labor) was over 5 weeks ago. This past month has been incredible. Not only have we been blessed with yet another tremendously precious child - Jeremiah - but also in a variety of other ways too. . . But I first want to take the time and thank all those who sent cards, gifts, called, emailed, skyped, Facebooked, etc. We (including Jeremiah) were encouraged and remain eternally grateful for your kind gestures.

We also want to thank Danielle's folks Jon and Sharron Murray for coming and spending nearly two weeks with us. It was not only a blessing to be together but they were a huge help with Jeremiah, Natalie, and giving us time to get some work that had been piling up! Thank you! We love you both and look forward to seeing you again, if not in the states, you know that you're always welcome to visit us in Singapore!

In the middle of having family around we were doubly blessed to have a couple friends visit too. Yet, for now, thanks so very much Jeff and Kelsey for taking time out of your incredibly busy schedule here in KC to hang with a couple old friends. We are so very much looking forward to being a little closer, at least proximity wise, in our upcoming move to Asia. And we know that there will be many more surprise visits and possible rendezvous'. Peace be with the both of you on your upcoming mutual journey of married life!

Over the past 5 weeks not only have we had some great surprise visits, but Jeremiah has grown to a whopping 8lbs and 20 inches and we have grown in patience. Does one grown in patience, or do we just have opportunities that test our patience, a whole lot?! You know its true what they say, "having two kids does not just double your parental work, it actually triples it!" But who's really counting the dirty diapers, spit-ups, crying moments, lack of sleep, and . . . Yet, it's also true what they say; "I'd never trade it for the world!".
It's been a ride adjusting to two children but possibly even harder has been our sudden need to move again and it's not to Singapore - at least not yet! We could use your prayers as we are having to move out of the house we thought we would be able to live in until our move overseas. As fate (or something) would have it, we are trying to work out the logistics for our future housing accommodations while we continue to live in KC. I guess it's true that we (the now 4 little Whetstones) can't do anything easy! We hope to not be moving far, in fact, it looks like we will get to live in yet another house on Woodland Ave -that makes three houses on the same block!

Before we move we will be back on the road again starting September 7. Will get to crisscross the country and share our stories in; Washington, Oregon, Maryland, New Jersey, Kansas, and back down to LA- Lower Alabama. Thank you in advance for all your invitations.

Finally, we really need prayerful help, and creative support in our quest to raise $22,000 in start-up costs for our move to Singapore and some major long-term supports to help cover our annual $40,000. May His grace truly be sufficient.

Peace

p.s. One final thought:
"We either heal as a team and truly live. Or we die as individuals and never really experience life."
