32 Hours Later . . . And 9 hours after that!

Hello again!

Well it was not long after our incredible 32 hours journey across the states that we packed our "loaner car" and headed to Massachusetts. Even though Tim had to drive in bumper to bumper traffic, in the rain, for nearly 6 hours, and in a car full of sleeping girls (Nat and D), he was thrilled that we used less than a full tank of gas on an 9 hour drive! (And of course that we got to drive by Yankee stadium- I really hope to catch a game before we leave for KC later this June!- Anybody wanna help us out with some connections?!)

We made it to Malden MA on Friday night a lot later than anticipated but it still gave us Saturday to see some sites. Saturday was a delight. This was my wife and daughters first time to the great city of Boston. The rain held of for us and we enjoyed a brisk but partly-sunny day walking the streets, riding the T, and enjoying a genuine Cafe' and cannolli in Little Italy!

With the "Freedom Trail" behind us, we called it a night and spent the evening with some of Tim's family back at his uncle and aunts place. This was a great closure to a fabulous day. Not only was the food good, but the company was even better as we spent time with relatives. Thanks to all my Whetstone clan- we love you all very much! Late that night we called it an evening and hit the bed for some deep rest.

Sunday came early as it welcomed us with some beautifully clear sunny skies! We had the privilege of speaking at the Malden Church of the Nazarene. Danielle was the guest speaker for the women's Mother's Day Breakfast, while Tim shared in a men's small group. We then shared in the main service and we treated the entire day with some amazing hospitality. And it was a bonus to see some of Tim's younger cousins serving the Lord in music and worship. Thank you Malden church, Gerry & Ellen, and the many others. We had a wonderful time worshiping and sharing life together. We are blessed by your support and prayers, and we look forward to how God will use us all for His glory.

After a full stomach provided by my incredible family, it was off to Manchester, Connecticut. We also were welcomed by some extended family members there too. Tim's brother-in-law's folks are the pastors serving at the Manchester Church of the Nazarene, which made for an even more delightful time Sunday evening. It was a great evening and Monday being loved on, and sharing our stories as well as connecting with many who know other Whetstone's (especially Tim's late grandfather, George). Thank you Manchester for your warm hospitality and gracious support. Blessings also to Gary and Juanita, and Gary and Tonia as you continue to serve and lead for His glory.

Monday came, we loaded up the car after sleeping in a little, and we headed back down south to Delaware. Since then we've been able to catch up on some time with my folks, and sister, brother and kids, while all the time doing as much as possible to get ready for our next little jaunt. Danielle and I leave Tuesday for a 10 day visit to Singapore. We will most definitely be blogging from there, but we do ask for your prayers as we continue to prepare emotionally (we are leaving Natalie with the grandparents), spiritually (we want to be in tune with our Father's voice), logistically (both for the travels and the networking that we will be doing).

Therefore, until next time . . .

I just left Ella for the first time for 10 days while I went to Poland with a TNU TAG Team. It was difficult, but the time passed quickly. She did great, and I got some fabulous hugs when I returned. I will be praying for you as you head to Singapore.
