To California and back . . .

Have you ever wondered about putting a child into a box . . . look no further . . .

Anyway, it's Thursday night and we are running over 1000 labels to be posted on the back of our prayer cards. . . Yet, the shear fact that we are in an actual place of "going to print" on something feels like a HUGE achievement for us in the overall process of this gigantic journey back over seas. . . However, we must admit that within the midst of frustration we do find rest, fun, and an underlining peace which we honestly can't explain.

These past couple weeks have been full yet again with travel, a teething baby, food throwing contests, unexpected gifts, new friends, and dirty diapers. . . Of course there's been other stuff, but then again, we can only blog the highlights, right! (I'm sure some of you are wondering what "highlights" mean when it seems like Tim rambles at length sometimes?!)

Easter was a delight . . . Saturday was spent at a small petting zoo and some fun at an indoor playground. And then Sunday hit with an early morning egg-hunt, a beautiful Easter worship service and a fabulous luncheon at the Wesley's. Truly who could ask for anything more?! For some more pictures please check out our new slide show here on our blog site! And thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate! He Has Risen, He Is Risen Indeed!

Yes, we headed back to California and had a glorious time back with Danielle's family, while also being privileged to share at yet another church in Sacramento. We were invited to be a part of the Cordova Church of the Nazarene. Thank you for a great weekend of being able to add more faces to God's glorious family while sharing a bit of true fellowship. We look forward to how God will work through us all in the future.

While being in California one last time before we ship off, we were also lucky enough to spend some quality time with Danielle's family as well as some old friends. Good conversation with friends over some hot cinnamon rolls and coffee hit the spot every time! Thanks Jared and Kim- know that we will be praying for you especially in the months to come. Not a whole lot could top a morning like that except maybe a ride through the mountains just north of "Hang Town". . . It was an absolute blast to go driving up through Apple Hill, eat a little caramel apple, see the sites, eat a little sugar coasted apple donut, drive through some glorious country, and of course eat a little more . . . And all that with family!

Now that we are back in KC for a while we are busy trying to get things in place for the move while also helping out World Mission in a few areas. . . I have added another blog site. If anyone is interested in some "deep thoughts and not-so-deep thoughts about . . ." please subscribe to http://xanga.com/tdwhetstone

We will also have our new web site up and running this coming week . . . But for now, please enjoy the new stuff here at "The Whetstone Chronicles" site: new links, new photo album, new fellowship gift giving opportunities, the new look and finally, this new little Natalie video . . .
