Sacramento District Tour and More . . .

Hello again. . . So, we were back in KC for about three days and we found out that we were going to be moving houses. I mean, we weren't actually moving houses, just moving into a new house. We actually moved down the block about four houses. We lived at 6435 and now we are officially at 6519 Woodland until further notice... which most likely will be, we pray, Singapore!

I had one full day to spare while we were back in KC getting ready to head to Sacramento, CA. And I thought what better way to spend my day of rest then to actually work!? So, I moved our packed boxes from the basement. It was a day well spent in and out of my Pathfinder 7 times! I know, I could have done more, but 7 is such a great number so why should I mess it up . . .

Anyway, a day and half later we headed to our speaking engagement tour with the Sacramento District Church of the Nazarene. It was a wonderful time spent speaking at 6 different churches in a span of 8 days. We had a blast and we got to be with family throughout our entire stay. Danielle's folks still live in the area and it was a wonderful opportunity to stay with them throughout our time. They even got the incredible added bonus of having us- I mean, Natalie! :-)

We have a great many thanks to all the churches, and the district coordinators who helped put this little tour together for us. Thank you for all your help, support, and partnership in what God mission. So . . .

Our first engagement was with Fairfield New Life Church . . . It was great to have been so creative with you guys in sharing our stories. We know that God has big plans in store for your church family especially with your new Warehouse ministry endeavor. Thank you for the opportunity and we look forward to hearing great things.

Next we headed to Stockton Horizon Christian Fellowship . . . We must publicly say that this church by far has had the best pot-luck. We don't mean to diminish the quality of the other pot-lucks we have had the chance to eat at, but there comes a time to be honest, and Horizon rocks the pot-luck charts! Really though, thanks for having us. We had a wonderful time around the table sharing life together. We look forward to our future partnerships and for what God has in store for you all in Stockton.

Later that week we got to share at Placerville Church of the Nazarene . . . This was especially nice for us since this was Danielle's home town. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to share. We had a wonderful time with the kids, moms, and the entire congregation. Your warmth and support is amazing. We are excited for what God has in store for your church family in your future move. Looking forward to how God will bring us together again. Just 24 hours later we were blessed to share at the Woodland Celebration Center Church . . . We had a blast especially as Natalie joined in on story time . . . sometimes ya just can't keep a small girl quiet! Thanks for being such a warm, welcoming, and supportive group. We enjoyed the entire evening as we shared together, especially without onions! :-)

Our final Sunday was spent again with more beautiful people in the family of God. Sunday morning we ran into some old friends while making some new ones, when we shared at Tracy New Heart Community Church . . . Not only did they welcome us outside the front door (which we think was b/c they were probably wondering why these missionaries were running so late?!) but when we got up to speak they had especially placed two small VW Buses on the podium! Nice Job! We loved it. Thanks for everything and we are looking forward to how God is going to bring us together in some future partnerships as we serve together in His name. A few hours later we then headed to our final speaking engagement at the Sacramento Liberty Towers Church . . . This too was a blessed evening spent sharing our stories and challenging yet again on how we can all be involved in God's mission. But what was even more exciting to us, was seeing and meeting others who have already invested in long-term overseas missionary service and who have not checked out of ministry, but who are still investing 100% in their missional backyard. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

And to you all, thank you. We were strengthened and encouraged just by being together. We were honored and humbled to have had the opportunity to share, while being blessed beyond measure with your overwhelming support and what we know will be continued prayers. Thanks again and we look forward to sharing with you all in the future.

Finally, without making this post too much longer, because we will share more about what we did on our free time later, we did want to send out a couple little shout outs to some of our friends whom we had the great opportunity to re-visit with . . . We love you all and we hope to be together again soon. . . But of course, if we can't make it to Cali, ya know, there's always Singapore!!!

And remember cat's are bad, dog's are good . . .

Ciao ciao!
