So . . . it's been a while but here we are again and getting ready for yet another weekend away from KC. Natalie has been growing, teething, and most definitely creating a lot of memorable moments filled with great laughter. For example, check this video out . . .

October in KC has been extremely enjoyable. It's been fun to take some walks in the brisk air, drink cafe' on a cold morning, and even wear those fall jackets! I guess sometimes you can't take the east coast out of the boy! No matter how nice it was to not have to shovel snow down in Alabama, I am enthusiastic for a autumn with falling leaves, cool air, and jackets! (Especially the really cool jackets that Natalie gets to wear for the first time!) Now, before I get those comments about "just wait until winter" . . . let me say, "I can wait!

The past couple weeks have been busy, quite eventful, and even though a couple thunderstorms graced us with some water in our basement, enjoyable. We had the wonderful privilege to speak at and share life with; Hays Kansas First Church of the Nazarene, and Butler Missouri Church of the Nazarene.

We had an extremely enjoyable time two weeks ago at the chili cook off, pie auction, and of course in worship with our new friends at Hays. Thanks for having us and giving us the opportunity to share our stories. This past weekend was spent catching up with some of our best friends, John and Brenda Prichard, while making new ones at the Butler Church where they serve. Despite the fact that I think four out of the seven of us were feeling under the weather, we had a great time being able to be together again. It was also a great blessing to share, challenge, and again be introduced to more beautiful people in the mosaic of God's kingdom. Thanks for an incredible weekend.

We have yet another full weekend and fully packed "fall break"! While getting ready to try and prepare for our "break" (does that even make sense?), we have had fun; finding out that our breaks and rotors were shot on our Pathfinder (cha-ching), that we have been charged fraudulently on our credit card (cha-ching), getting sick and needing medicine (cha-ching), and of course having a few sleepless nights because Natlie's teething really well! In any case, while on break this week from classes at NTS, we are looking forward to sharing at Southern Nazarene University, Ames, IA, Cleo Springs, OK and at a youth retreat in Missouri. Somewhere in there we we also hope to spend some quality time in KC as well!

Finally, we would ask for your prayers on a couple items:
-Getting our credit card situation squared away properly. . .
-Travels this coming week . . .
-The need to still book more speaking engagements November - January
-The need to still raise quite a few funds for our future assignment . . .
-Confirmation and logistical arrangements of our future assignment . . .
-Family . . . illnesses, pregnancies, etc.
-The energy and stamina to finish this semester well at NTS

Thanks again to everyone whom we have had the wonderful honor to be with and to all those who are part of our blog family. Please don't hesitate to pass along our blogs and share that anyone can subscribe to keep up with the Whetstone Chronicles!

Peace
